SHOOTING FOR THE "W" IN JH BOYS BASKETBALL

The boys’ basketball team worked very hard this season. Coach Heckman commented before the season began, “I am very excited about this season. We have a very good group of boys that have worked extremely hard.” He set high goals for his players but thinks they reached even further than the goal themselves.

This year's team consisted of eight eighth-graders and ten seventh graders. The eighth-graders were Jackson Garvis, Noah Heckman, Creek Johnson, Caleb Lindstrom, Jason Martin, Liam Servaes, Jason Slaughter, and Kahnner Tabor. The seventh graders were Lucas Bulen-Guyer, William Hartigan, Waylon McCracken Wesley Payton, Coen Rainsbarger, Ashton Shepardson, Westin Snook, Vance Ver Mulm, Gavin Wax, and William Wells.

Coach Heckman says that when it came to hard work all the boys pulled through and that they worked together to get the job done. He also claims that "coming off of a very successful [football] season spilled over in the basketball practice. They are all very enthusiastic and show a very good work ethic.”
